Google is testing a new Gemini feature called “Call for Me,” which can call businesses on a user's behalf for tasks such as checking stock or making restaurant reservations. It initially rolls out to U.S. Pixel 11 owners with a paid Gemini subscription and requires the beta Android Phone app; users can follow calls live and take over at any time.
YouTube announced updates to YouTube Studio at its Made on YouTube event, adding AI draft feedback, a research feed, and thumbnail and title generation. The draft-feedback feature reviews unpublished videos and suggests improvements to pacing, structure, and storytelling, while Ask Studio expands to iOS and Android. Dynamic thumbnails can generate three options and show each to a different audience segment.
YouTube on Wednesday announced a feature called custom feeds, which lets users describe in natural language the kinds of videos they want recommended. The prompt-based feeds use Google’s Gemini AI model, are pinned to a separate tab on the YouTube home page, and will not replace the main feed; support for creating multiple feeds will roll out on web and mobile starting next month.
