OpenAI 发布 AI 助手 Dots，主打跨应用后台执行任务

dots can advance projects on its own cloud computer and use connected apps to look for matters needing attention. OpenAI says its background “proactive research” cannot send messages, change app content, or control a browser or computer. The rollout begins for Pro and Business Premium users in eligible markets; Enterprise users can try a beta after an administrator enables it.

Announced at DevDay, Dots are always-on AI assistants designed to work across connected apps in the background and learn users’ preferences over time. Powered by GPT-6 Astra, they use a cloud computer to access a browser and more than 4,000 supported apps. Users can interact through a text-message-like interface or start a voice call from ChatGPT on the web, desktop, or mobile.

OpenAI unveiled its AI agent product Dots during its September 29 DevDay keynote. Initially, Dots will be available only to paid subscribers of ChatGPT Pro, Business Premium, and Enterprise.

OpenAI describes Dots as a proactive assistant that can keep working across complex projects and everyday tasks. It says users can stay in control as work moves forward.
